A Round of Applause for Wikipedia!
Many people would not find it suprising that I started this assignment thinking that Wikipedia was not a good source and that it should not be trusted. I could make a whole list of reasons one would come to this assumption. To my suprise, my article turned out to be basically flawless. It has sources, explanations, organization, and excellent information. The only thing that was ever wrong with the post was taken off within 2 minutes. Even though I am writing this essay to convince my audience that Wikipedia is a good source, I believe that it is only fair to show its flaws as well. Unfortunately, using my article, it is impossible! I guess in a way... thats good. All I'm trying to say is, I'm having problems with my article being TOO perfect.
how do you know that the sources are accurate? That being said, how does anyone know if anything is truly accurate? Perfect is a strong word, but I see that that is a problem in and of itself. Having a perfect article really limits your ability to argue. Good luck
ReplyDeleteI am having the same problem with my paper defending Wikipedia. My article was accurate, well organized, and had all of the information one would be looking for. In my paper I'm writing about how my article was really good, but there are still some articles on Wikipedia that are not. Good luck with the rest of essay, I know how difficult it is to come up with negatives.
ReplyDeleteI had the same problem with my article. There were hardly any flaws and all the information was backed up with credible sources. So I wrote on how credible this article is compared to the rest of Wikipedia. Good luck on writing your paper! Also what is your topic?
